We apologize for these in-house pictures. If only we could control
the ice gods. We hope to have a VIDEO of this up on the site in the next
few weeks.
Disassembling your tip-downs is a very fast and easy process. It can be done in seconds.
Step 1: Reel in your line and remove your bait. Put your hook on one of the hook
holes around the leg brace bracket. The leg brace bracket is where the legs of your tip-down
will snap in to when we fold it up (see below).

Step 2 (Part I): Innapropriate Method of Sliding the Base Together Your Innovative tip-down has an extendable stand
that can go as high as 36". The stand slides back together to make a short compact
tube when the tip-down is folded up. Proper care must be taken here. DO NOT force the stand down
by putting your hand on top of it and pushing down on the legs. You will break the
plastic legs that hold the unit up.

Step 2 (Part II): The Proper Method of Sliding the Base Together
Grasping the tip-down base, firmly put the top of the base up against your
body and apply form pressure. The extandable tip-down top will now slide
back in to the tube.
Once the extandable top is slid back in to the tube, let the tip down base
slide through your hands until you are grasping it near the bottom with the
bottom facing up.

Step 3: Fold the legs
Now take the plastic tip-down legs that screw in to the stand and fold them up so that all
four are parallel with the parent tube and sticking straight out the bottom of the
compartment.

Step 4: Insert Rod Between Legs
Now that all four of our legs are folded up, lets take the rod and place it
firmly between the legs of the stand. Slide the rod all the way down between
the stand legs until it buts up against the base.
Notice below my hand that I have the reel handle
between two of the base legs (does not matter which ones). Notice above
my hand, you can see the hook in one of the hook holes and all the legs are
snapped in to the leg notches, which you can see better in picture 1.
At this point, I am taking a firm grip around all four legs and turning
counter-clockwise to unscrew the base with rod intact from the plastic
compartment.

Step 5: All Pieces Become One Once the stand base with rod intact is unscrewed
from the compartment we simply turn it over, slide the rod up in to the parent
housing, and screw the tip-down back together creating a one piece, light weight,
easy to carry compartment.
