There are 4 arms on the base which screws in to the bottom of the tube. | 20" Rod has metal prongs that sit inside of the harness and allow the rod to tip with ease. | Rod in it's tipped down position. The reel will stay down as long as the fish is there. Reel will spin easily to let out line so a fish can run. | The base unscrews from the bottom and the arms of the base fold up.
